About HAZET

A family firm, not a badge

Hermann Zerver started HAZET in Remscheid in 1868. The company is still owned and managed by his family, now in the fifth generation, in the same city.

Who we are

HAZET-WERK Hermann Zerver GmbH & Co. KG makes hand tools, torque tools and workshop equipment. The name comes from the founder's initials, HA and ZET. The slogan has been the same for decades: Das Werkzeug.

Ownership matters here for a practical reason. A family that plans in generations keeps tooling for a product long after the sales peak has passed, which is why spare parts for old article numbers still exist.

Remscheid, and why the address has not changed

Remscheid has been a tool making region for centuries. Plant 1 in Remscheid-Gueldenwerth still makes its own forging dies, so the shape of a wrench is controlled in house rather than bought in.

About 80 percent of the range is made in Germany. The rest is sourced where it makes sense, and it is held to the same inspection standard.

What we make

  • Hand tools: sockets, ratchets, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers
  • Torque technology: torque wrenches, testers and multipliers
  • Workshop equipment: tool trolleys, cases, inserts and benches
  • Special tools developed with vehicle manufacturers
  • Over 5,500 article numbers in current production

Who uses the tools

Independent workshops, dealer service departments, industrial maintenance teams, aerospace and rail. HAZET has supplied special tools to Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche and MAN, and has worked with Porsche Motorsport for around three decades.

Tools are in daily use in workshops in more than 60 countries.
